The candidate will provide operational and technical support for capacity-building initiatives within underwater cultural heritage (UCH) projects. Responsibilities include assisting in the design, preparation, and delivery of training workshops, coordinating participant registration, and supporting trainers with materials, audiovisual content, and logistical arrangements. The role also focuses on event coordination for an international final conference, assisting with programme development.
A significant part of the position includes contributing to communication and dissemination activities. This involves drafting outreach materials, preparing presentations, supporting social media and website updates, and assisting in public engagement events. The assistant will help document project activities through photography, notes, and summaries. Strong organisational abilities, clear communication skills, and an interest in cultural heritage outreach and event support are key to success in this role.
Contract date: 01-11-2025 to 31-12-2026
Main missions and activities:
• Assistance with underwater cultural heritage capacity building actions, partnerships with stakeholders and training workshops
• Assistance in the organization and participation in international conferences
· Assistance in participation in other communication and dissemination activities
Required skills:
· Ability to communicate in English (oral and written) with international scientists.
• Experience in fieldwork and report writing
• Experience working with international teams
• Experience in administrative tasks, writing internal reports, etc.
• Experience in the organization and implementation of international events
• Proficiency in writing scientific reports and publishing
• Desirable: experience in the implementation of European projects (deliverables, internal and interim reports, etc.)
