Technical diver

The technical diver will be supporting the underwater archaeological mission through:

– Conduct pre-dive planning and risk assessments.
– Install and maintain underwater guide lines, grids, and reference markers for site access and orientation.
– Support the deployment, positioning, and retrieval of survey equipment.
– Assist in underwater operations.
– Ensure site safety by monitoring dive conditions, currents, visibility, and diver status.
– Perform sediment clearance using non-invasive techniques (e.g. dredges, airlifts) when required.
– Manage the operation of  filling bottles and maintenance of the machines such as compressors and MotoPumps.
– Assist with post-dive debriefings, reporting, and diving equipment maintenance.
